To be eligible for the hongkong prize, scientists must submit an original article that meets certain criteria. It must be a clinical study (including prospective or retrospective clinical trials), an observational or epidemiological study, or a basic science study. Submissions must be first-authored, and cannot be a review or letter to the editor.
BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION PRIZE is governed by an independent review board, comprising a Review Committee and Compliance Oversight Team. The review board is responsible for reviewing and interpreting the articles of the Charter; suggesting important scientific research fields for THE PRIZE; setting requirements for nominating experts; verifying and approving the final review results; and providing advice to the Secretariat.
The winner will receive a cash prize of HK$500,000 and a trophy, while the runner-up will receive HK$200,000 and a certificate. The finalists will be announced at an award ceremony, which will be attended by representatives of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and sponsors. The BOCHK SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY inNOVATION PRIZE is open to all areas of science and technology, with the following fields as award categories:
